The mission of Pattes Communautaires is to help cats in need, including neglected, abandoned, injured, or vulnerable cats

Pattes Communautaires: An organization dedicated to cats in need in Montreal, Montérégie, and the surrounding areas

Pattes Communautaires is a non-profit organization (NPO) whose mission is to help community, stray, abandoned, neglected, injured, or vulnerable cats in the Montreal, Montérégie, and surrounding areas.

We believe that every cat deserves a chance to live a safe life, receive proper care, and find a loving home. Thanks to our network of volunteers and foster families, we support cats in need by providing them with a suitable environment, veterinary care, spaying/neutering, socialization, and personalized support toward adoption.

Our organization works with cats that find themselves without resources, whether they are abandoned, stray, or from community cat colonies. We intervene to offer them a second chance and to reduce feline overpopulation through responsible and sustainable solutions. Pattes Communautaires also acts as an awareness-raising actor for the population of Montreal, Montérégie, and surrounding communities.

We wish to raise awareness about the realities experienced by community cats, the challenges linked to the lack of resources, and the importance of spaying/neutering, identification, and responsible adoption. We believe that education and collaboration are essential to improving the well-being of cats in Quebec.

Through our rescue actions, adoption programs, our network of foster families, and our community initiatives, we work every day to create a better future for cats in need.

You can contribute to our mission by adopting a cat, becoming a foster family, offering your help as a volunteer, or making a donation.

Every gesture allows Pattes Communautaires to continue saving lives and supporting vulnerable cats in Montreal, Montérégie, and the surrounding areas. Together, let's offer a second chance to the cats who need it.

All adopted cats must live indoors and must under no circumstances be left outside.

Why give?

At Pattes Communautaires, we believe that every cat deserves a second chance.

Every day, we provide them with the essential care they need: veterinary care, spaying/neutering, vaccinations, food, foster homes, and all the love necessary to help them regain their health and find a forever family.

Every donation, every foster family, every volunteer, and every adoption allows us to change a life.

Together, we can offer these cats the hope, care, and future they deserve.

Support Pattes Communautaires and join our mission. Together, we can make a difference, one cat at a time.

Tax Receipt

All donations of $25 or more made to Pattes Communautaires, whether through Zeffy or via Interac e-Transfer, are eligible for an official tax receipt.

Sharon Gaul, our founder and president, has dedicated her life to rescuing cats for over 16 years. With Pattes Communautaires, she created an organization that bridges the gap between the growing needs of community cats and the lack of resources, funding, and government support. We are on the ground, where help is most urgent, to offer these cats a real second chance.

Our mission comes from the heart: to save as many community cats as possible in Montérégie, Montreal, and the surrounding regions of Quebec.
